The Japanese Maple tree (Acer palmatum) has been cultivated from the early 17th century and is prized in Japan not only for its red-purple leaves which turn bright red in autumn,.but also for its branch structure which is seen in winter. Exquisite in both colour and form, this ornamental tree is great in a large patio pot or as a focal point on the lawn or in borders. Supplied as a 3 year old root-wrapped plant - 18 inches high.
